BLI 9049 HO Scale EMD SD40 Union Pacific UP 3117 Stealth DC

The EMD SD40 is an American 6-axle diesel-electric locomotive built by General Motors. Between 1966 and 1972, GM built 1268 of these locomotives before introducing the new SD40-2. The SD40s operated throughout the US and Canada for decades. Broadway Limited Imports is proud to announce their first production of these diesel models in 2023. This first run will include models of ten different railroads with prototypically accurate road numbers, paint schemes, and road-specific details and lighting. In addition to the Paragon4 version, each model is available in Stealth Series. These are No-Sound / DCC-Ready models that operate on DC out of the box, or a modeler can easily install their DCC decoder of choice. Out of the box, front and rear lights are directional, and other lights are always ON with track power. Additionally some lighting functions may be missing depending on selected aftermarket decoder the modeler installs.
