Since its introduction in 1966, EMDs GP40 has been a favorite with North American railroads. Operated in all kinds of mainline and branchline service, GP40s have proven to be versatile and reliable. This all-new HO Scale model from Atlas is loaded with detail, equipped for great performance and accurately decorated in popular roadnames. These models include dynamic brakes as appropriate for each roadname. Each locomotive is equipped with an Atlas Master 4-Function DCC decoder and is available in more than one roadnumber per roadname for building multiple-unit consists. Best of all, these units are perfect for operation on both DC and DCC layouts with no modifications.
